QUICK FIX: Josh Rosebrook Tinted Nutrient Day Cream

jr 2

This is a review I’ve been meaning to do for a long time now, but just haven’t ever managed to get around to! I bought US-based stylist Josh Rosebrook’s ‘Tinted Nutrient Day Cream’ along with his ‘Lift’ Hair Texture & Volume Spray earlier this year (I will get around to reviewing ‘Lift’ soon I hope!). Moisturising Must-Haves

winter

It’s common sense to keep your skin moisturised year-round, but winter seems to be a season of neglect because all we want to do is keep ourselves covered up at all times, so often moisturising routines get put on the backburner. I think the importance of moisturising should never be underestimated, so here are my four essential products for ensuring your skin stays healthy in winter. Read the rest of this entry »

BLEMISH BUSTERS: Natural treatments for blemish prone skin

bb

While blemishes are a fact of life, they are basically NEVER welcome visitors on anyone’s face. It seems as though we’ve all tried every trick in the book in an attempt to be rid of them; acne creams, tea tree oil, even toothpaste…
However, for many people these remedies have little to no visible or lasting results. Recently I have been testing out a couple of commercial natural blemish treatments, and I’ve had very different experiences with each. Before I get into it, I want to emphasise that skin types and chemical make-ups differ greatly from person to person, so what might be a wildly successful treatment for one person may do absolutely nothing for someone else, which is very important to remember when it comes to finding the right blemish treatment to suit your skin… Read the rest of this entry »

FLOWER POTS: RMS Beauty Review

rms flower rms handful
An rms flower and a handful of little pots of gold…

I am absolutely loving rms beauty. I’ve been using the lip2cheek in ‘Illusive’ since late last year, and it is without a doubt my FAVOURITE product to use. Ever. Seriously, if I could only use one piece of makeup for the rest of my life, I would choose Illusive without a second thought. It is the most beautiful lip and cheek colour; so flattering and rosey and wonderful!!! Read the rest of this entry »

QUICK FIX REVIEW: Nudus Australia 27 Kisses

27kisses

The lowdown:
Nudus Australia‘s ’27 Kisses’ lipstick is becoming ever-increasingly popular among natural beauty bloggers, and I was super keen to try it out for myself to see what all the fuss was about.
From what I’d seen online, the colour was exactly the type of matte rosy-brown that I always look for in lip colours, and it certainly didn’t disappoint me in real life… Read the rest of this entry »

IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Flora & Fauna Beauty Box

32

I’ve heard a lot about ‘beauty boxes’; the trend of ordering home-delivered boxes full of sample products from online beauty retailers. I’ve always been a bit put off by such boxes, as most of them are monthly, and subsequently a tad overwhelming. With the exception of full-time beauty editors, I don’t think anyone has the time or patience to try all those products every month! Not to mention spend a lot of money on products you might not ever even use… Read the rest of this entry »

THE ESSENTIALS: Natural Everyday Makeup

essentials

Face: I start by preparing my skin with rose water toner, and then a few drops of pure jojoba oil – The Jojoba Company is my favourite brand to use. I then use the Sukin Facial Moisturiser and apply my Ere Perez foundation with a brush, or, if I feel like lighter coverage, I mix the foundation with my moisturiser and apply with my fingers. WHAT I BOUGHT: Green Organics

Green Organics

The lowdown:
I only recently heard about Green Organics, a little makeup and skincare shop in Sydney, located right near Wynyard Station in the Metcentre. If you’re a Sydney resident then check them out! They also have a great online store.

I think I hadn’t heard of them until recently because they don’t seem to do social media in a big way! Regardless, I was thrilled to find them. I was in heaven in their store! I was able to test out some products from some lovely brands that I’ve been interested in for ages.

Check it out: Read the rest of this entry »
