QUICK FIX: Josh Rosebrook Tinted Nutrient Day Cream

This is a review I’ve been meaning to do for a long time now, but just haven’t ever managed to get around to! I bought US-based stylist Josh Rosebrook’s ‘Tinted Nutrient Day Cream’ along with his ‘Lift’ Hair Texture & Volume Spray earlier this year (I will get around to reviewing ‘Lift’ soon I hope!).

This tinted version of his Nutrient Day Cream basically acts as three products in one; it’s a moisturiser, a face tint, and a sunscreen (I love the idea of simplifying your makeup routine as much as possible; the fewer products the better!). The cream has a light herbal scent and as you can see in the image, it’s quite thin in texture, adding only a very sheer wash of colour to the face. I am a big fan of not masking or concealing so-called ‘imperfections’ of the face, such as freckles, sun spots and blemishes, and this cream’s sheerness certainly allows the natural skin tone to show through. It absorbs perfectly into the skin to even out skin tone and create a subtly glowing complexion. Somehow Rosebrook has managed to achieve the perfect balance between a matte finish and the beloved dewy look!

If you need coverage then this cream is probably not for you, however it can be used as a primer or base; the ease with which it absorbs into the skin means it’s easy to apply further makeup on top. I think this is a lovely little product if you love the no-makeup look or just hate wearing foundation but can’t stand to have nothing at all on your face. It is more on the pricey side due to its high quality ingredients but is a luxury worth every penny if you want only the very best natural ingredients on your face, and you really are getting three functions in the one bottle!

Have you tried any Josh Rosebrook products?
