I’ve heard a lot about ‘beauty boxes’; the trend of ordering home-delivered boxes full of sample products from online beauty retailers. I’ve always been a bit put off by such boxes, as most of them are monthly, and subsequently a tad overwhelming. With the exception of full-time beauty editors, I don’t think anyone has the time or patience to try all those products every month! Not to mention spend a lot of money on products you might not ever even use…

So, as you can imagine, I’d found the whole idea of beauty boxes to be just a bit too much until very recently, when I discovered a lovely Australian online natural beauty boutique by the name of Flora & Fauna. I heard about their exclusive Beauty Boxes; special selections of both full-size and sample products from their store delivered straight to your door in one delightful package each SEASON. Yes, that’s right! Only four times a year – perfect! I was instantly sold, and purchased their current Beauty Box, the Autumn box.

The Autumn beauty box contains about seven products which are all skincare products except for one makeup sample of a blush. But the real selling point for me was the full-size bottle of rose water spray from Vanessa Megan Skincare; I love using rose water every day and my current bottle is almost empty! It was the perfect time to stock up again.

I love that most of the items in each box are kept a surprise by Flora & Fauna, except for a few sneak peeks via their social media accounts. I definitely think it’s more fun when you’re not quite sure what you’re getting! Especially when you can rest easy knowing that no matter what, all the products will be natural and organic.

Bought singularly, each seasonal beauty box is around $30, plus about $8 postage. It really is such good value for money! The bottle of rose water toner alone costs about $30, so you’re getting a LOT more for your money with the Beauty Box.

When winter rolls around, I’ll definitely be getting my paws on the new box ASAP. In the meantime, I’ll be busy trying all my lovely new products!
