WHAT I BOUGHT: Green Organics
by posiepaige

The lowdown:
I only recently heard about Green Organics, a little makeup and skincare shop in Sydney, located right near Wynyard Station in the Metcentre. If you’re a Sydney resident then check them out! They also have a great online store.
I think I hadn’t heard of them until recently because they don’t seem to do social media in a big way! Regardless, I was thrilled to find them. I was in heaven in their store! I was able to test out some products from some lovely brands that I’ve been interested in for ages.
Check it out:
LILY LOLO
Lily Lolo is a UK mineral cosmetics brand.
I was very interested to see and test out the Lily Lolo products in store. I’d been keenly looking at their range of pressed powder blushes online. I am not a fan of loose powder blushes, bronzers and eyeshadows; I much prefer pressed powders, and Lily Lolo seem to be basically the only natural brand doing a wide range of pressed powder blush shades. They make a range of shimmery blushes as well as matte numbers – yay for me!
I bought the shade ‘Coming up roses’, which is of course part of the matte range. True to its name, it is a beautiful deep rose shade. It comes in a lovely little compact, complete with a handy mirror inside. I have been very impressed with this blush; it is very pigmented, so a little definitely goes a long way. I simply swipe some on with my EcoTools blush brush, and voilà – lovely, natural-looking flushed cheeks.
I also purchased the finishing powder in ‘Translucent silk’.
Finishing powder is not something I have used before, and have only recently become interested in it. This particular powder intrigued me as it adds a subtle glow to the skin, instead of just mattifying it. I have liked using this powder so far; it does not dry out the skin at all and it does set my makeup nicely.
It is a loose powder, so I simply tap some into the lid, swirl around onto a plain powder brush, and dust over my skin.
I really love how Lily Lolo makes videos to show buyers exactly how to apply their products. I find such videos so helpful!
I am certainly keen to try out more Lily Lolo products in future!
The lovely blush cost $22, and the finishing powder was $28.
RMS BEAUTY
I have wanted to try rms beauty products for quite some time now! The reason why I hadn’t done so already was that I could only look at them online, and as they are a bit pricey I didn’t want to buy anything without seeing the colours in real life.
As rms is quite popular, combined with the fact that I went to the store near Christmas-time, I think Green Organics was sold out of a few of the rms products. They had only the very lightest shade of ‘un cover-up’, and the ‘living luminizer’ wasn’t there. I’m not entirely sure if they usually do stock those particular products, but I imagine they would! I had wanted to look at those two products when I went to the store, but I’m sure I will get to test them some other time.
However, I was able to see many of the ‘lip2cheek’ and ‘lip shine’ colours, and they were absolutely beautiful! I ended up purchasing the ‘lip2cheek’ that I had been eyeing off online for some time – the shade called ‘Illusive’. It is absolutely stunning. Unlike some of the other shades, which contain shimmer, ‘Illusive’ is perfectly matte, which I much prefer. It is wonderfully creamy and hydrating (thanks to its coconut oil base), and goes on the lips like a dream!
I haven’t used it as a blush, as I’m not really into cream blushes and am not interested in using this particular product that way, but I imagine it would work very well. The deep “burnt rose” colour is very pigmented; it’s not as sheer as some of the other shades.
Believe the hype about rms! I can confidently say that I adore this product. WILL purchase again.
This little pot of goodness cost $46.
ECOCARE

I also picked up a couple of packs of the always-handy Ecocare facial cleansing wipes, which I have used (and loved) before. These wipes are made from organic cotton and are biodegradable – hooray for less landfill! They come in two different scents: rose & chamomile, and apple & honey. I love both!
I love using these wipes to remove my makeup because they are so quick and easy! The ingredients used are gentle on the skin and they don’t sting or irritate my eyes like other wipes do.
These handy wipes cost around $8.95 a pack.
