REVIEW: Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation
by posiepaige
The lowdown:
The Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation in the shade ‘light’ is my everyday foundation.
I am naturally quite pale, and this shade matches my skin perfectly.
However, I have found that I can still wear this shade after applying fake tan (which I am an avid user of).
The foundation seems to somewhat adapt to my skin tone, which I love.
Application:
Before applying, I always moisturise my face well. This foundation does start to dry quite quickly, so it spreads much easier when applied to a moisturised face. Before application, I like to spritz my face with rose water, apply a small amount of moisturiser and a few drops of jojoba oil.
Not only do you have to properly prepare your skin before using this foundation, you must also use the right tools to apply it. If you attempt to apply it with your fingers, you will have problems. As this foundation is quite thick in texture, it is not easily spread. I have found that the best type of brush to use is a dense, flat top kabuki brush. I personally use the EcoTools Custom Coverage Buffing Brush. Ere Perez recently released a new brush which is very similar in shape to it, called the Eco Vegan Multipurpose Brush. This foundation looks best when applied with brushes like these.
Finish:
The foundation provides a matte finish, with light-to-medium coverage. I find that it doesn’t really cover blemishes or dark circles on the face with just one application, so I usually just go back and apply it like a concealer to any problem areas. The foundation does last quite well throughout the day, and absorbs nicely into the skin.
I have often been told while wearing this product that I don’t appear to be wearing any foundation at all, which I think is a confirmation of the foundation’s natural-looking finish!
